Computer Nerd = Babe-Magnet?

Computer Nerd = Babe-Magnet?2008年4月22日

Singapore - Imagine, a total nerd having beautiful modelesque women flocking to him - could it be that nerds are now the new Brad Pitts of the world? It sounds like the world has flipped, but thank goodness it hasn't. At least not yet. There is, however, one lucky average Joe, named Chuck, who inadvertently becomes a top secret agent with a stunning female CIA agent stuck to his side 24/7 when he accidentally downloads the US government's secrets into his brain.

That's right, the nerd herd is now calling the shots... in "Chuck" that is! "Chuck" is a brand new comedy action series revolving around a nondescript nerd and computer geek Chuck Bartowski, who is catapulted into a new career as the US government's most vital secret agent.

Produced by a stellar creative team including executive producer Josh Schwartz ("The O.C.") and executive producer-director McG ("Charlie's Angels") this witty and clever action series comes to Asia this May on AXN from 5 May, every Monday @ 9pm (SG, MY, PH, TH) 10pm (HK) 8pm (JKT).

When Chuck (Zachary Levi) opens an e-mail subliminally encoded with government secrets, he unwittingly downloads an entire server of sensitive data directly into his brain. Now, the fate of the world lies in the unlikely hands of a geek who works at an electronics store, and who still lives at home with his sister! Instead of fighting computer viruses, he must now lead a double life as a secret agent and battle assassins and international terrorists.

What could be the perk of the peril? This dateless geek who has trouble talking to members of the opposite sex, finds himself surrounded by beautiful women who would kill to be by his side, including the serious but totally drop-dead gorgeous FBI agent Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahowski) as his partner. Besides Sarah Walker, Chuck gets to meet numerous attractive babes like a badass Chinese spy (played by Singapore-born actress Gwendoline Yeo) and even have one fall in love with him (guest starring Rachel Bilson, "The O.C.").

Fresh, funny and action-packed, "Chuck" has tickled the fancy of viewers since its debut in the US, so much so that the series has scored a 'Favorite New TV Comedy' nomination in this year's People's Choice Awards. And Comedian/actor Zachary Levi too is up for a 'Best Actor' Satellite Award for his geeky performance as Chuck Bartowski.

With such credentials, "Chuck" is guaranteed to get you stuck in! Be sure to tune in this May when it premieres on AXN.
