AXN, AXN BEYOND & SET shows sweep 60 Emmy nominations!

Singapore - SPE Networks - Asia, home to Sony Pictures Entertainment wholly-owned channels AXN, AXN BEYOND and Sony Entertainment Television is lighting up TV screens across Asia as it brings a total of 16 must-see, quality shows that have chalked up more than than 60 nominations at the upcoming 60th Primetime Emmy Awards!
AXN brings to Asia 7 top US shows in the running for Emmy honours! Notable nods were awarded to thriller series Damages with 7 nominations including 'Outstanding Drama Series' (season 1 is currently on AXN every Monday @ 11pm SG, MY, PH, TH, 12mn HK). Reality-series The Amazing Race (latest season 13 on AXN this September) is in the running for its sixth 'Outstanding Reality-Competition Program,' having won all five of the honours since it was first presented in 2003; Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles earned 3 nominations, while Chuck, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, and CSI, the world's most popular crime investigative series franchise that counted over 55 million viewers in Asia on AXN in 2007 alone, notched 2 nominations each.
And of course, Emmy-top contender House that attracts over 12 million Asia viewers on AXN earned itself 4 Emmy nods. Its latest season 4 which currently airs on the channel (every Monday @ 10pm SG, MY, PH, TH, 11pm HK), continues to rate highly with Asia viewers, especially in Malaysia where its popularity hit an all-time high - House's impressive ratings for its third episode propelled the show to #1 spot during its broadcast, beating all TV channels and including free-to-air channels among Astro PMEB viewers!
New entertainment destination AXN BEYOND brings to Asia more than spooks and chills - the channel is home to 5 Emmy-nominated shows including: Pushing Daisies (premiering on AXN BEYOND on August 4 every Monday @ 10pm SG, PH, HK) which leads the crop of programs with 12 nominations, including 'Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series' for Lee Pace; Lost, (currently on AXN BEYOND, every Tuesday @10pm SG, PH, HK) with 8 nods, comes up against AXN's Damages and House for the top category of 'Outstanding Drama Series'; Supernatural and Masters of Sci Fi (exclusively on AXN BEYOND from September 16, every Tuesday @ 10pm SG, PH, HK) won one nomination each.
The lifestyle reality shows on female-skewed entertainment channel Sony Entertainment Television also scored 4 Emmy nods: Top Chef (season 2 premiered first in Hong Kong on SET, 29 July every Tuesday @ 10pm), with a hat-trick of nominations, is up against The Amazing Race for the top honour of 'Outstanding Reality-Competition Program'; Crowd-pleaser So You Think You Can Dance which has been topping the ratings chart in the USA, (current season 4 coming first and exclusively to SET in November) is the hot favourite for the 'Outstanding Choreography' award with 3 nominations in the category; Justin Timberlake: FutureSex/LoveShow, Medium (season 2 on SET, every Wednesday) and Canterbury's Law
